for every sign there is an exaltation and a fall. venus, planet of love and beauty, finds her wings in pisces; she exalts in the sign of hopes and dreams. in this mode of expression, venus has no problem expressing her higher light and vibrations. similarly, venus has a hard time roaming the earth as its opposite sign, virgo. she has no wings, no otherworldly qualities when expressed in this sign. virgo, amongst many things, is an intellectual sign. virgo venusians forget their origin and focus on more immediate matters. the cool and discriminating energy of this sign subdues the expression of love and light of the soul. as an earth sign, virgo knows the physical all too well, and tends to place value on things only as far as the eye can see. “is this real?” “is this tangible?” “is this valuable?” the virgo venusian asks. she doesnt think about the heart and spirit, but the mind and body
virgo venus is reserved, she is realistic, she is refined, she is consistent, she has high standards, she is a perfectionist, she is very aware of flaws, and she is restless. onlookers think she is too selective, mundane, judgemental; lovers think she is too practical, phlegmatic, nitpicky. her doting and perfectionism may leave a sour taste in their mouth but she doesn’t mean it like that, she just wants them to improve. she just wants everyone to improve, especially herself. if this isn’t achieved, she goes to extreme lengths to conceal all of her vulnerabilities and weaknesses; she believes her true, unpolished self will be rejected. she thinks the bare self isn’t worthy of love and adoration. with her earthbound heart, she is considered to be the antithesis to universal, understanding love
but virgo venus isn’t bad. she is only troubled. the reason why she is so picky, so restless about finding someone who is worthy of her love, is because she knows what will happen once she’s found somebody. all she would want to do is give to them. give, give, give. to keep giving, even to her detriment. virgo venus doesn’t expect to receive anything, she doesn’t expect her love to be reciprocated (she thinks to expect so would be selfish) and that is why venus falls in virgo. venus feels caged, unable to express herself to her full potential. love is universal, love is shared, love has such high and pure forms of expressions; pisces venus soars through the sky, high on fate and destiny (in virgos eyes this is all idealism and illusions, but pisces believes this is exactly what venus meant when she introduced humanity to the concept of love) .. pisceans breeze by while virgo venus sits quietly on the ground, watching her angelic brothers and sisters, wondering why she can’t be anything but human
